A landscape company that draws the plan and then builds it.
AV Landscape Pty Ltd is an Australian-registered landscape design and construction company working on residential blocks across the Perth metropolitan area.
Design and construction under one company.
Plenty of gardens fail at the handover: a designer draws a level change that nobody prices properly, or a builder installs reticulation that does not match the planting that arrives later. We keep the drawing and the digging in the same hands, so a detail that cannot be built never makes it onto the plan.
That means the levels are taken before the concept, the drainage is resolved before the paving is set, and the irrigation is zoned around the planting schedule rather than retrofitted to it.
- One point of contact from the first site visit through to establishment
- Scope written so you can build the whole garden or stage it over seasons
- Materials chosen for Perth — limestone, granite, jarrah, hardy natives
- Site left clean and access protected while we are working on it
Four stages, in this order, every time.
The order matters more than any single trade. Getting levels and drainage settled before anything is built is what keeps a garden from being pulled apart two years later.
-
STAGE 01
Site visit and levels
We walk the block with you and record fall, aspect, soil, drainage, access and any trees or services worth designing around.
-
STAGE 02
Plan and scope
A scaled site plan with hard-landscape layout, levels and a planting schedule, alongside a written scope you can build in one go or stage.
-
STAGE 03
Construction
Earthworks, retaining, drainage, paving and reticulation run in sequence, with each stage set out and checked before the next one starts.
-
STAGE 04
Planting and establishment
Soil preparation, planting, mulch and a watering schedule tuned to the roster, then a follow-up through the first summer while roots take hold.
Three things we will not shortcut.
-
Drainage first
Every retaining wall gets its drainage detail, every paved area gets a fall, and stormwater is directed somewhere deliberate rather than onto the fence line.
-
Real soil preparation
Beds are conditioned to depth with clay and compost before a single plant goes in. It is the least visible part of the job and the one that decides whether the garden survives.
-
Plants that suit the block
Species are matched to aspect, exposure and how much water the site will realistically get — not to whatever looked good at the nursery that week.
